Recipe: Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

Ingredients: 

·     4 ripe bananas

·     2/3 C. sugar of choice (I use unrefined brown)

·     2 C. Unbleached Flour

·     1  tsp. Baking Powder

·     ½ tsp. Salt

·     1 Tbsp. Vanilla extract

·     4 Tbsp. water 

·     Dark chocolate chips (dairy-free) or cacao nibs

·     Cinnamon, all-spice, nutmeg 

·     Walnuts (optional) 

To Prepare: 

1.    If using frozen bananas be sure to thaw the fruit in advance 

2.    Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit

3.    Begin by mashing the bananas until smooth

4.    Gradually mix your sugar, water, and vanilla into the banana mash 

5.    Blend in sifted flour, baking powder, and salt

6.    Add cinnamon, all spice, nutmeg, and other spices to taste 

7.    CHOCOLATE CHIPS!! And walnuts, if you’d like 

8.    Bake in a nonstick or greased loaf pan (preferably a 9” x 5”) for an hour until the bread is golden brown on the outside and cooked through in the middle (check with a toothpick) 

Suggestions:
